The Mudds is a set of original characters and stories by Barbara Allen, commissioned for CBeebies Radio, by Fresh Air.
The series of 21 stories feature a little girl called Edith and her daft Gramps played by Bernard Cribbins. Aong with their scruffy smelly dog, Pyla (Mark Benton) and Arfur the talking worm, they go on adventures and learn elementary science lessons as they go.
They compete in a raft race, get stuck in a maze, borrow and eagle from the local wildlife park, and generally get into all sorts of scrapes, with fun and lots of laughs. Arfur’s experience in the worm scouts and general heroism is often called upon, whilst Pyla reluctantly leaves his beloved sausages to get involved.
Edith is the narrator, played by new discovery, the fanastic Ulani Seaman.
