The holy month of Ramadhan begins today, and Fresh Air are supplying a special range of programmes for BBC Asian Network for early mornings.
“Devotional Sounds” - Fresh Air’s ongoing production for the network - is being extended by up to an hour and half each day to allow for bespoke prayers and reflections as muslims across the UK prepare for the day’s fast.
Esteemed Imam Sheikh Ibrahim Mogra has recorded special messages for listeners, with passages from the Holy Qur’an and reflections on what faith means in modern Britain.
This is the second year that Fresh Air has produced extra programming for the month, and we’ll be producing special live programming for all themajor Sikh and Hindu days during festival season.
