The Sport Relief promotional campaign has been a phenomenal success, beating its target for the number of people signed up to the Sport Relief Mile with five days to spare.
The campaign featured 7 year old Holly Guy as “Miss Mile Ready” and included a set of radio trails produced by us here at Fresh Air for Radio 1, Radio 2, 5Live and local radio. Schools and fundraisers were even asking for copies so that they could play them out.
So far 161,300 people have signed up, with £2million raise online already before the TV show even kicks off. It just goes to show what a joined-up attention grabbing campaign can achieve. We’re proud and priveleged to be involved in Sport Relief 2010.
