Radio 2 have commissioned Fresh Air’s first fully independent programme production.
Provisionally titled “Even better than the real thing” the documentary will tell the story of the magical Top of The Pops albums of the 70s.
Performed by session musicians on the tightest timing imaginable, the budget albums took the charts by storm and lead the way for the “Now” compilations that followed.
We’ve alreayd got some superb interviews lined up and brilliant stories from inside the studio.
The programme will be broadcast on Radio 2 in the late part of next year. Watch this space for more details.
