BBC Radio Five Live Sports Extra
March 2000 – February 2002
Neil built the station sound from scratch for Five Live’s digital sister station. This included formulating programmes and presentation policy, as well as building a hourly “clock”. Beds and themes were developed for specific sports, allowing the station to adapt its profile according to the event being covered. The result was a proud launch in early 2002 which took Five Live’s sound into the digital age.

107.9 Bath FM
April 2002
Neil re-structured the station sound for Bath’s local commercial station. Cheesy sung jingles were removed and replaced with a full range of spoken drops, allowing the station’s message and personality to shine through. Playlist music became king, rather than station jingles, and the witty drops were updated to react to topical events and listener suggestions. The changeover was achieved in one smooth weekend and universally approved of by listeners and presenters alike.
